U.S. Helicopters, Inc. operates Electronic News Gathering helicopters. We are currently seeking a qualified candidate for the position of A&P Mechanic with the ability to get there IA if they do not already have it. This specific base operates all AS350’s.
Hours: Full-time, primarily day-time operations, Monday thru Friday. Hours may vary based upon the needs of the operation and some travel may be required.
Salary: Salary is highly competitive with experience and skills. Successful candidates will be required to pass DOT pre-offer drug tests.
Description: The primary responsibility of this position will be to perform repairs, scheduled/unscheduled maintenance of aircraft, remove/install as required STC’s or installed equipment for operations use, actively participate in all aspects of a successful maintenance operation, coordinate maintenance of the aircraft with the pilots flying different contracts, ordering, shipping, receiving of parts, supplies, tools and warranty claim parts with corporate office, vendors and manufacturers, facility, ground support, equipment maintenance and repair. Performance of additional duties as required. IA and experience on Eurocopter AS350/EC130 aircraft preferred. Also field experience in Part 135 operations and any model Airbus Helicopters Inc. is a plus.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
- A&P Certificate
- Five years or more experience working on Turbine powered helicopters (Desired)
- Three years minimum field experience on Turbine powered helicopters (Preferred)
- Positive, upbeat personality and a willingness to work within the guidelines of the company General Operations Manual, CFR’s, & Manufacturers Maintenance Manuals
- Ability to sign off logbooks and record component entries IAW FAA CFR’s and Company GOM
- Ability to troubleshoot discrepancies and apply corrective actions to maintain the airworthiness of the aircraft
- Knowledge and skills in computer based maintenance software
- Applicant must be able to follow direction and work harmoniously in a highly-paced environment
- Must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident at time of application
- Able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds
- Requires the ability and/or willingness to work days, nights, weekends, scheduled days off, on-call and overtime during busy periods. Some travel is required and training may be required.
